Breakfast Club of Canada Classic Golf Tournament: Yet another smashing success!
This prestigious signature event once again succeeded in raising awareness within the business and arts community about the Club’s mission. At the end of the day, the tournament organizers announced proceeds to the tune of $105,000.
An impressive number of participants, partners, business professionals and celebrities from the sports and entertainment world – including former Alouettes player Étienne Boulay, singers Émily Bégin, Ima and Roch Voisine, TV hosts Jean-Luc Mongrain and Patrick Langlois, and comedian Michel Courtemanche – teed off at the spectacular Le Mirage golf course in Terrebonne. Long-time Club spokesperson Benoît Gagnon joined Isabelle Racicot for a live on-site broadcast for his first lunch-hour show of the summer season on Rouge FM.
The incredible day on the links was followed by a cocktail reception, where guests had the chance to wind down and mingle. A succulent dinner prepared by Le Mirage’s renowned chef was then served. The festivities included a wonderful tribute to Micheline Villeneuve, head of the Air Canada Foundation and faithful supporter of the Club’s work, and two members of the Club’s board, namely Louis Frenette, President and CEO of Parmalat, and Pascale Gouin, Partner at Legault Joly Thiffault. A painting by Bernard Séguin Poirier was presented to them as a keepsake and token of the Club’s gratitude. At the end of the evening, singer Sylvie Desgroseilliers wowed the audience with her warm, powerful vocal stylings.
