My Breakfast ABC

[volunteer] [Testimonial]

A front-row seat every morning to the very first smiles of dozens of kids who wake up with one of our delicious morning concoctions – now, that’s magical! My cheery disposition is contagious, and each story is more delectable than the last one. How could anyone resist?

But it’s not just about breakfast. It’s about TIME – such a precious commodity these days. The time to create memorable moments that make for a healthy start to their morning – that’s the key. I know. I’ve experienced what it’s like to begin the day WITHOUT breakfast, as opposed to WITH it. Despite a few stormy passages along the way, the energy I have inside me now is definitely because of this change.

Conclusion: We can all make a difference, one meal at a time. All it takes is a little imagination and a healthy dose of generosity to guide children toward the path to success, not just in school, but in life. And nothing is more rewarding.
This is the winning recipe that explains why I, Mélissa Lacombe, a very busy 28-year-old professional, decide to get up early every day to volunteer with Breakfast Club of Canada.
