Established in 1966, the Fédération des producteurs acéricoles du Québec (FPAQ) promotes and defends the economic, social and moral interests of 7,300 maple syrup producers in Quebec and implements collective initiatives to market their products. As a result of this hard work and dedication to quality, Quebec is currently responsible for 71% of the world’s global maple syrup output.
Since 2008, through a joint effort by Citadelle and the FPAQ, we have been able to make pure maple syrup available to drizzle on the delicious pancakes served in our breakfast programs in Quebec.
“Reaching out to the next generation through these breakfast programs is a concrete way for us to improve the quality of life of a large number of kids,” says Serge Beaulieu, President of the Fédération des producteurs acéricoles du Québec. “Our producers are proud of this partnership, which speaks volumes about the values of community and giving back that we all share.”
