On November 25, the partners of the Breakfast Club of Canada’s Mission Fruitée meal project gathered at a school in Montreal to launch the new initiative and serve up a vitamin-packed meal to 60 eagerly awaiting students.
The children were given a variety of fruit to create their own breakfast masterpiece, with the help of our partners and our friendly project mascot, Freggie!
Bananas, apples, oranges, blackberries and melons were in the spotlight – and the perfect accompaniment to a delicious waffle. We also introduced a much lesser-known fruit to the mix: persimmons!
