At the heart of a broader approach
This work is also part of a broader momentum: the Planetary Health on the School Menu project, led by Équiterre in collaboration with Breakfast Club of Canada and La Cantine pour tous. Within this framework, the Club acts as a pioneer in advancing concrete solutions to sustainably improve school food offerings, for the benefit of children, communities, and the planet.
A number of other partners also contribute, including CIRAIG, Emissions Reduction Now (ERN), the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF), the Coalition for Healthy School Food, the Association québécoise de la garde scolaire (AQGS), the Conseil du système alimentaire montréalais (Conseil SAM), and Lab 22, as well as several school service centres. The project is made possible through the financial support of Aliments du Québec, the Fondation François Bourgeois, and the gouvernement du Québec via Action-Climat Québec, a program coordinated by the Fonds d’action québécois pour le développement durable and part of the Plan pour une économie verte 2030.
