RCGT, supporter and partner for two decades

For over 20 years, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton has supported the Breakfast Club of Canada to promote equal opportunities for children. Today, its commitment is on an unprecedented scale, with thousands of employees actively participating. Thanks to this broader commitment, RCGT now acts as a key ambassador for our mission. Its support goes far beyond funding, demonstrating the power of solidarity and collective commitment.

Since the beginning of this partnership, more than $650,000 has been donated to the Club—valuable support that makes a real difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children across Canada.

Beyond financial support: engagement with impact

In 2023, a new milestone was reached: RCGT made the Club its corporate cause, mobilizing its 2,900 employees across Quebec in a dynamic annual campaign filled with fundraising activities and employee engagement initiatives. A committee called Ami.es du Club des petits déjeuners was created.

“At RCGT, we understand that, in today’s world, we’re all connected to each other. We surveyed our employees to better understand what it means to them to make a commitment on behalf of the Breakfast Club of Canada. These valuable responses enabled us to build a solid action plan aligned with their wishes and our values.” – Gabrielle Drolet, Senior Director, Marketing and External Communications

The partnership with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton goes far beyond financial support: it’s a true model of engagement with impact. RCGT acts as a leading ambassador for our cause. Their peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, internal ambassador committee, active promotion of the partnership on their communications platforms and even the addition of a call for donations in their employees’ email signatures all help to broaden our donor community and raise awareness of the importance of our mission.

The Ami.es du Club des petits déjeuners have launched several initiatives in their 100 or so offices across the province, including:

  • Automatic deduction from employees’ pay slips, with the option of making a one-off donation as part of the annual campaign.
  • Half-and-half raffle to benefit the Club, organized during the holiday season. RCGT matches employee donations.
  • The company donates $10 to the Club each time a new employee is hired.
  • Petits déjeuners de la Direction in RCGT offices: executives serve breakfast to employees in exchange for a donation.
  • Participation in the Déjeuner des Grands, one of the Club’s signature events.
  • Major sponsor of the Bike Classic since its first edition, with over 50 employees taking part every year.

“Together, we found a way to have a lasting impact.”

“For two decades now, we have had the honour of partnering with Breakfast Club of Canada, whose work is the embodiment of our pledge to future generations. Our annual Petit déjeuner de la direction, which brings together people from across our organization, always gets our employees fired up. In 2023, the year our firm turned 75, we raised more than $47,000 for the Club in a single day.

This community-minded initiative speaks volumes about our commitment to giving back. The goal of everything we do, be it local or national in scope, is to help provide children with what they need to achieve their full potential. We are proud to be part of this movement that turns breakfast into the promise of a bright future.” – Comité Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton des Ami.es du Club des petits déjeuners

RCGT raises the bar for generosity in 2025

In 2025, RCGT’s annual campaign got off to a strong start with a fundraising event led by the partners. The company strengthened its commitment through participation in our signature events and the mobilization of some fifty employees. The many fundraising activities included the annual Déjeuner annuel de la direction, held in all its Quebec offices, demonstrating the team’s energy and solidarity. On the volunteer front, RCGT took part in a community week in September, where over 200 employees prepared 1,700 breakfast bags for schools in Laval and Brossard—a concrete gesture that makes a real difference for local children.

In 2025, nearly $237,000 was raised to nurture children’s potential, representing more than one-third of the total amount raised over 20 years.

“The committee will stay on the lookout for opportunities, both internally and externally, to maintain its strong support for the cause of children’s nutrition. Effective communication is essential for aligning on the best strategies to organize fundraising activities for the Club and achieve our objectives. The committee members will therefore continue to meet periodically to deploy local, regional and national impact initiatives in support of the Club and this corporate cause for which the firm’s 2,900 professionals are mobilizing to make a difference in the days of our children, the leaders of tomorrow.”

At the heart of this mobilization is a common desire: to offer children an equal opportunity to succeed. Today, RCGT and the Breakfast Club of Canada form a team united by the same vision: a future where no child starts their day on an empty stomach. Together, we’re transforming today’s breakfasts into great promises for the future.
