The Transformative Impact of the Club on Kevin Sin’s Life
Wondering how the power of breakfast can change lives? Discover the story of comedian and actor Kevin Sin, whose life was transformed through Breakfast Club of Canada.
In 1997, Kevin immigrated to Canada with his family in the wake of the Rwandan genocide. They arrived in Quebec City weary and disoriented.
At the age of 6, Kevin attended an elementary school with a breakfast program. Not only did he eat there, but he also started learning how to fit in:
“My first friendships were formed at those tables. That’s where things clicked for the first time with other kids and where I discovered I had a natural gift to make people laugh. That was my ‘in’!”
Looking back, Kevin realizes just how important this support was in his life:
“Today, I am so grateful for all the chances I was given. The tremendous impact Breakfast Club of Canada had on me, and will have on future generations, is humbling.”
Kevin’s story reminds us of the extraordinary impact we can have by helping a child and demonstrates that by coming together, we have the power to enable future generations to achieve their dreams.
