Meet Francine, a Grandmother with a Heart Full of Love for Kids

At Breakfast Club of Canada, every monthly donation is more than an act of generosity —. it’s a promise to the next generation. A promise that we will watch over them, that we will give them an equal start in life and that we will support them throughout their academic journey. Francine is one of our monthly donors in Quebec. She delivers on this promise with compassion and conviction.
Inspired by her love of her family
As she watched her own children and grandchildren grow, Francine felt she needed to make a difference by becoming a monthly donor. “As a mother and then a grandmother, I understood the importance of making sure that all children get enough to eat, like mine always did,” she said. The idea of a child starting their day on an empty stomach was unthinkable. The injustice of it compelled her to take action.
A deep-seated commitment to the community
Francine’s desire to help extends beyond her family. She’s a firm believer in the adage that it takes a village to raise a child. “I have a responsibility toward all the youngsters in my community, not just the ones I’m related to,” she said. Through her contributions, she is part of a chain of caring that extends to every last child.
A profound belief in the importance of nourishing children’s potential
What is it about Breakfast Club of Canada that resonates with Francine? In a nutshell, it’s the ability to help children grow up in the best possible circumstances. She knows the needs will never go away completely. “There will always be children who don’t have enough.” And it’s this truth that explains why she has kept giving all these years.
A message of love for kids
For all those who can enjoy a good breakfast before the school bell rings thanks to Breakfast Club of Canada, Francine has a special message:
