Boucherville– November 2nd, 2021- As children return to the classroom, Staples Canada partnered with Breakfast Club of Canada for a 16th year on it’s back to school fundraising initiative, to help fund breakfast programs at schools throughout Canada. Thanks to the support of its associates and customers, the annual fundraiser raised a record amount of 8,301.

“The Club is very fortunate to be able to count on dedicated partners who understand the importance of a healthy and nutritious breakfast to ensure children can reach their full potential,” says Judith Barry, Co-Founder, Director of Impact and Provincial & Territorial Government Relations of Breakfast Club of Canada. “It has been exceptional times for everyone and together, we can ensure kids thrive.”

Associates at 90 participating Staples Canada and Bureau en Gros stores across Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces worked together and went the extra mile to contribute to the campaign and encourage customers to join them.  They raised awareness around the fact that food insecurity has been a major issue across the country and continues to affect a great number of students.

“A nutritious meal is important in starting the school day on the right food,” said Michel Melancon, Regional Vice President, Staples Canada. “We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Breakfast Club of Canada and are thankful to our network of associates and customers for their support.”
